What kind of problems are you running into? We have a similar issue where we are receiving an error stating "Registry query failed". It appears that the Sametime Install architecture is such that it expects that the user is logged into the workstation (as opposed to SMS being logged in to install). Because the majority of our Sametime Users are logged in at the User security level (not Administrator), we are encountering issues as well.
